Bible Study

Bible study is a t 9 am before Sunday Service starts. We typically walk through a book of the Bible or a teaching of the church. If you are curious about what we are currently studying, please feel free to reach out by calling our church at 310-377-8541.

We also host a zoom Bible study every Wednesday at 2:00PM. This study will touch on the same topics as our Sunday Bible Study. This study is accessible to everyone, especially those who is not available to attend on Sundays, or those who just want to hear the lesson again!

Check our Instagram for our Bible Study schedule each month!

Sunday Service

Sunday service is every Sunday at 10am in the Sanctuary. Holy Communion is celebrated on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of the month. To see what we believe about Holy Communion click here.

Our church service is called the Divine Service because we gather to receive God’s gifts to us. We gather in the name the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. We confess our sins and receive God’s gifts of forgiveness, life and salvation through Word and Sacrament.

Mount Olive’s service is Christ-centered and liturgical, following an order of service, and rooted in the Church Year. You will receive a bulletin every Sunday as you enter that will guide you along the way. If you have any questions do not hesitate to ask.

Lutheran heritage emphasizes the use of music in worship, so a typical service includes singing hymns and hearing our choir sing.

This service will typically run for about an hour, and all are encouraged and welcome to join us for coffee fellowship after the service to be in community with one another.

Children : All children are welcome and encouraged to be in worship with their parents. Jesus said, “Let the children come to me, and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of God” (Luke 18:16). There is a cry room in the Sanctuary to be used for those with infants, when needed. (The cry room has a speaker so you can still hear the service participate.) We understand sometimes children become fussy or make noise – don’t feel embarrassed! Children 4 years old to 5th grade are welcome to attend Sunday Schoolor sit with their parents.
